Top 10 Moments from Supernatural’s Holy Terror

BEFORE YOU CONTINUE!  I have a few things to disclose.  First off there will be a ton of spoilers in this post so if you haven’t watched yet– STOP.  OK and the next thing is that this really isn’t a top 10 list.  Don’t get me wrong.  I will use numbers and list things, but I make no promises on either getting to 10 or limiting myself to 10.  As long as we’re clear on that.

Since I’m not sticking to the list rules we’ll start with 1.

1.  I feel Dean’s frustration.  He tried to save Sam (again) and it’s (of course) not going as planned. All he wants is Sam whole.  But how long has it been since Sam was truly whole?  I’m going to say college.  I would like to preference my next statement with this:  I love this show and don’t want Sam to die.  However, I have been rewatching the series again and Dean goes through this whole, “what’s dead should stay dead” phase and now he’s totally not playing by those rules.  Dean should have let Sam go.  Sam was ready, Sam wanted to be free.  I feel like this is less about saving and taking care of Sam and more about Dean not having to be alone.  (Once again although that’s how he should have been I need Sammy just as much as Dean does.) End of series finale prediction: At the end of Supernatural Season 15 Sam and Dean go through with a suicide pact.  One that kills a ton of demons and angels at the same time.

2. I also feel for Sam.  Think about it.  He’s missing time, he doesn’t remember how he got places, this is a legitimate concern he should have.  After all this wouldn’t be the first time he lost it mentally.  Just a few years ago Sam had Satan riding shotgun and before that he was running around soulless doing some cold heartless things.  Also his look when Dean says, “would I lie?” breaks my heart.  Yes, Dean would lie, yes Same knows he would and yes Dean is lying.  I miss when they trusted each other (that may have also been back when Sam was in college). Sam, we love you.

3. Now on to Zeke, or Gadriel or whatever he’s calling himself these days.  I think most of us had a suspicion that Zeke wasn’t really Zeke, or if he was Ezekiel something had changed him and he was no longer the good guy that Cas vouched for.  As long as I’m sympathizing with people though I must say I sympathize with Gadriel too.  If he’s been locked up since the snake got into the garden he has no way of knowing what’s going on.  I understand how he could trust God’s scribe.  Speaking of Metatron he is doing a bang up job of manipulating Gadriel.  Just enough reminders of why he was punished in the first place and then offering him redemption.  Redemption. It’s the same way he got to Cas. I wanted to scream when Gadriel said this to Dean:

OK Sam and Dean are pretty much the only 2 safe characters in this show and by safe I mean if they die they probably won’t stay dead long.  Still though, even if (when) they get Sam back he is going to be sooooooo angry and hurt.  What Dean did to save Sam has now hurt people they love.  Sam doesn’t really like that kinda stuff.

4. Cas. Cas, Cas, Cas.  I am both really glad that Cas got his/a grace back so that he can assist with everything now and really loving the skills that he has picked up or refined during his stint as a human.  As awesome as it was to see him escape from all the evil angels I was saddened by the fact that lying comes so easily to him now.  He didn’t even hesitate slitting Theo’s throat open to get his grace and instead of healing the vessel he killed (I feel like smote is a better term for that) him.  I am glad that he has proven that he can survive on his own though.  As much as I love how much he works with the boys, he is somewhat like a overly dependent girlfriend.  He has just waiting around for direction from the boys and I’m glad that he’s finally decided that he can handle himself.  I think that maybe he actually can.

This is a new self confident Cas that we’ve seen question Dean’s decisions.  It’s been a long time since he’s had direction and motivation all on his own.  I’m excited to see where this goes.  Cause this is a Cas I can get behind– this is the Cas that should have taken over Heaven (maybe he will again??)

5.  I just have a tiny bit to say about Crowley.  First off why hasn’t Dean gotten him to help from the beginning?!?! No I don’t trust Crowley, yes he’s done horrible things, but seriously at some point you have to realize, “everything is going to hell, but wait, I have the King of Hell locked up– lets use him!”  Next I wonder how different he will be after being partially cured.  Will he be able to torture Gadriel with the same enthusiasm that he normally would have?  That’s pretty much all I have about him, other than the fact that I love Mark Sheppard and am glad he will have a bigger part after the break.

6. Metatron.  Yeah I can’t even.  Nope.  Don’t like you.  I hope Cas is the one that kills you. The end.

7-10.

Kevin. Freakin’. Solo.  I have loved Kevin since we met him.  I loved his homework timer, his obsession with getting perfect scores, his high stress life and I even loved that he had a kinda, but not really, girlfriend that was just as crazy (way to go Kev).  When I think of Kevin Tran I think of this kid:

Osric Chau has done an amazing job not only bringing Kevin to life, but he truly seems to love the Supernatural family.  I find that awesome.  I love reading his tweets because he seems to truly understand what Twitter is for unlike some other celebrities (little known fact: it is in fact not there to sell products or as a pulpit to preach from).  Kevin has had his life turned upside down and then sideways, but he has worked hard to fight against evil.  He was a 100% good souled character which isn’t easy to find in this show.  Dean, Sam, and Cas (as well as all the other characters that are now gone) manipulate and lie to get what they want or think they want.  Even though they are good guys in our eyes they have hurt plenty of people along the way.  Kevin wasn’t like that.  Kevin wanted to take down the enemy, but he didn’t manipulate.  I hate Metatron for using Gadriel to do this and I hate that Gadriel fell for it.  I just hope that before Crowley finishes with him Gadriel realizes what he’s done.  Kevin Tran you will be missed.

And we won’t forget you.

Supernatural: Rock and a Hard Place (That’s What She Said)

This episode had all the earmarks of being a crappy episode.  They promo’d it like it was going to be a dragon episode and in my opinion the one dragon episode was enough for forever.  It was one of my least favorite.  However, I seriously laughed, hard, numerous times during this one.  Sheriff Mills was a nice return.  I enjoyed seeing her character again as I always thought she was a down to earth dose of reality every now and then.  I did think there was something missing not having Bobby there to balance her out, but I think all of us miss having Bobby around.  Always.

OK I try to not do a play by play recap so here are the things that stuck out to me:

Why haven’t they asked Cas to read the spell yet?  They mention in the beginning of the episode that they wonder if Crowley is lying about the spell not being reversible.  How about you ask the other person that you know that can read dead languages??    If it says it’s irreversible Cas isn’t going to be any worse off than he already is and they will know for sure.  Really they don’t seem all that concerned with getting Cas’s grace back and getting the angels in heaven.  Which doesn’t make sense to me unless Zeke is purposefully distracting them.  (Don’t worry I’m coming back to our friendly parasite angel in a moment).

Also I miss Kevin. That is all.

Dean pretending to be ashamed that he wasn’t a virgin anymore was great (“I don’t think we can really unring that bell” and “So you just hit the virginity redo button and alls good with the man upstairs?”).  I thought the scene in the abstinence support group was predictable, but it was still freaking hilarious.  His enthusiasm throughout this whole episode was perfect.  I like when Dean is happy Dean instead of brooding sad Dean (don’t get me wrong, brooding is fun too).

Nothing and I mean nothing in this episode was as funny as Dean figuring out who Susie from the support group was (although the description of the engaged couple’s sex was great).  He was star struck.  His meeting her in his world was to me like me getting to meet him in the real world.  Except I wouldn’t have been so smooth.  “That scene with the tacos.”  I don’t think that even if he’d known that he was going to get locked in a dungeon he would have been able to stop himself.

They really drove home the point that Sam is still not OK.  Between the nap at the beginning, Jodi bringing up that he looked like crap and then the big bad wondering out loud how he was still alive.  Yeah I think that’s going to play a part in next week’s mid season finale.

And that brings us to Zeke (Imma call you Zeke)– he seriously freaked me out when he switched over as Dean was about to tell him what was up.  It seemed less like he was protecting Sam and more like a threat to Dean.  I can kinda see that he keeps saving people left and right and hasn’t had time to heal, but I also still worry that Zeke isn’t really healing Sam, but just being a parasite.  I won’t lie.  Next week’s preview has me thinking more and more that way.  Of course the preview for this one was misleading so maybe Zeke is holding Dean back to protect him.

Lastly, they didn’t load Jodi’s car for her or help her with the doors?  It’s not like she got stabbed by a goddess or anything.  Oh wait. . .

Over all this was a solid episode.  They moved the plot along, had a monster to defeat and still kept it funny.  Maybe next week Sam will finally figure out Zeke is in him on his own and maybe we will get to see Kevin again.  I can hope.  I do think that the feels will abound.

Heaven Can’t Wait: In Which Castiel Pretends to be a Human and Crowley Pretends to be Evil

Cas

A good friend of mine and I had a conversation yesterday about superheros and why our favorites were are favorites.  I stated that Spiderman and Captain America were at the top of my list whereas Superman was at the top of his.  Of course the why of mine is very deep and thoughtful.  Or at least it’s more than I really like red and blue.  I love Spiderman and Captain America because they are regular guys who just happen to have super powers.  Peter Parker IS Peter Parker and when he puts on the suit he pretends to be Spiderman.  However, Superman is Superman.  He IS an alien with crazy powers pretending to be Clark Kent.  My favorites just seem more real to me.  They spend their lives trying to live while saving people in the process. (Although I will say that Tom Welling  and Henry Cavill make me love Superman too).  I was always more interested in the bad guys in the Superman and Batman universe than I was the good guys.  They were too perfect.  Too inhuman.

Well after having such an in depth conversation on superheros (as normal people do) right before watching this episode made me notice a few things more acutely about this episode.  Cas is spending his days pretending to be Steve the Human (kinda like Finn the Human but with less emotions).  He’s trying to fit in.  He’s trying to date people that aren’t trying to kill him.  He feels like he needs to cut all supernatural ties.  Of course Dean being a total douche and kicking him out of the bunker probably isn’t helping at all.  He’s not though.  He’s not human.  He’s an angel and needs to stop pretending.  He was never perfection like Superman, but he was a very powerful good force and even though he’s human now he still can be a powerful force for good. He began to stop pretending there at the end when he tried to banish the other angel before he could hurt that baby and before he could hurt him.  Then, there at the end, he seemed to embrace what he is when he stabbed hot pink angel in the chest.  Will he be able to carve out a life as a human?  Who are we kidding, they’ll find a way to fix this or he’ll die.  One or the other.  Personally I hope for the former.

CasandDean

I could feel Cas’ confusion at Dean’s presence throughout the episode.  I thought this still captured that.

Misha casdate

I forget at times how handsome Misha Collins is.  Also Nora totally played Cas and knew what she was doing. I disapprove.

Now I’m not blaming him for pretending, I’m just saying that Castiel will never be able to pull of human as long as he remembers his angel past.  He’s continually confused by human behavior.  His discussion with the baby just reinforced the fact that even as a fallen angel he relied on his powers to get him through all situations.  The thing I believe that he’s not pretending about is being hurt by Dean.  His offer to help Dean and Sam find a fix for all of this was one last cry for help and Dean shut him down.  Again.  Dean and Sam are idiots though.  Castiel can probably read that language that they just made deals with Crowley to read.  Why didn’t they just ask Cas?  Or at least as him to verify?  Crowley lies.  He at least definitely doesn’t tell the whole truth.

CrowleySamKevin

Poor Kevin, as much as I love Crowley I know Kevin must be so upset that he hasn’t been killed yet.

Now Crowley.  He’s pretending too.  Big evil King of Hell who can now feel emotions.  I think he came to the realization that he is not the evil SOB that he thinks he is after he tried calling Abaddon. Don’t get me wrong.  He USED to be evil.  He USED to be that guy, but now, now he was almost cured and has been held captive for a while now.  He now feels his power stripped away.  His kingdom is being brought down by Abaddon, there is no end in sight of getting away from the Winchesters, and Kevin definitely wants to kill him.  I’m curious to see what happens from here.  Will he continue to pretend to be evil or will be gradually come to terms with his impending goodness?  What was up with injecting Kevin’s blood at the end?  Will that do something to Kevin or is he trying to receive some more humanity?

Crowleyblood

What??

Crowley and Castiel were the biggest pretenders in this episode, but really there is pretending going on all over the place.  Sam is hunter with an angel inside him pretending to not be there, Dean is a brother pretending to be on the up and up and a friend pretending to not want Castiel around, Kevin is a hunter pretending that he could become the advanced placement student that he used to be.

Favorite lines in the episode:

Dean: My dates usually end when I run out of singles.

Crowley to Kevin: What’s wrong Short Round?  Afraid of needles?

I feel the build up to something big.  I have said before that I think Sam will find out in the next episode, but we shall see. (I don’t like the boys fighting so I hope I’m wrong).

Supernatural Review: I’m No Angel

Imnoangel

I love love love Human Cas. I love that he would be dead if it wasn’t for his living outside the lines with the boys. I love that he calls himself Clarence (let me cry a little for Meg). I love that he’s having to deal with things that he’s always been confused by, like hunger, sleep, cleanliness and other bodily functions (do you ever get tired of urinating?) I also love that he’s still naive.  I mean seriously who else would believe that a nice girl would bring home a bum, clean his knife wounds, give him a massage (along with a happy ending) and something not be up? Especially he knows the other angels are after him.  However I buy it because it is so very Cas to trust this sweet looking girl just because.

Imnoangel2

Yeah how did that work out Cas?

How about Dean’s lines this season?  Holy crap he’s hilarious.  Well, a very funny guy that is going to get caught lying very soon. His satisfied smirk after he tells a really good lie isn’t helping matters.  Sam isn’t going to keep buying that he got knocked out and Dean made it happen very quickly.  I’m surprised he’s believed it this long.  Surely he suspects that something is up now.  Now that brings us up to Sangel healing Cas.  I really think the only reason Zeke did this was because he saw Dean breaking down looking at Cas’ body and wants to keep him on his side to achieve whatever crazy thing he’s using Dean for.  I still believe that Zeke really does need Sam’s body to heal and that he’s helping Sam by being in there, I also think he set himself back by fixing Cas.

That being said I definitely think that something is up with Zeke.  Yes everyone is after Cas, but if he’s just hanging out in the bunker there is no way that he can get caught.  If Reapers could find people in the bunker then they would have found Kevin Tran by now.  I find his reason to make Cas leave crap and I’m dying for Dean to call him on it.  However, I’m afraid he’s too worried that Zeke is going to leave Sam high and dry and will actually follow through with the Cas eviction.  OK so here’s my big question,  You have the KING OF HELL in your dungeon!  How about getting his help with Sam?? Not necessarily go through with it, but see if he’ll deal and then let Zeke know that if he doesn’t stick to the original plan he has someone else to fix everything.  Granted Kevin probably isn’t going to be cool with it, but Kevin isn’t cool with anything to do with Crowley.  How about seriously figure out any better plan than this one.  Angels are bad news.  Period. You know this Dean.

Other things about this episode:

  • There was a serious lack of Kevin Tran although reading @OsricChau ‘s tweets almost made up for that
  • Cas was shirtless quite a bit and although that isn’t Sam shirtless– it’s still awesome
  • The televangelist was so creepy.  Well maybe creepy isn’t the right term, sleazy? slimy? Hmmm I say creepy because he seriously thought he was helping people and then rationalized away seeing that girl explode like it was nothing.
  • The angels seem to just want to reverse what Metatron and Cas did, and I know I should understand that and support it, except they are psycho.
  • Jared Padalecki did an amazing job switching between Sam and Zeke.  There was enough of a difference to know what was up even before Dean did, but it wasn’t crazy obvious.
  • I may have cried at the look on Cas’ face when Dean told him he had to leave.  He just got to a home and now is getting kicked out.  Not only kicked out, but kicked out by the one person that always backs him up.
  • And finally– I think Sam took my advice and had a hair cut.

imnoangel1

Look at that hair toss.

Did I miss any other red flags?  I’m worried about Cas, I’m worried about Dean, oh and Sam. And Kevin. And Crowley.  Hmmm I guess the only person I’m not horribly concerned about is Charlie which is the only reason I can think of that I’m not as excited as I thought I would be that Felicia Day is coming back next week.  The previews for that seem like it’s going to be a weird episode too.  We shall see.

Supernatural Recap: Devil May Care

Can I just start out saying that I love the new opening graphic? (Oh I should also take a moment and say that there WILL be spoilers in this post so if you haven’t watched last night’s episode you should go elsewhere). I love that they change the opener every season to reflect whatever big bad they are going to be dealing with that season and the angel wings are just enough messed up looking to remind you how messed up (most) angels are.  I’m going to post it again, just for fun.

Season 9 Supernatural

So they are all back together.  Sam, Dean, Kevin and Crowley and understandably Kevin is pissed that Crowley is not only alive, but hanging out in the bunker with them.  I think this is a moment that Sam and Dean show how much they have forgotten about normal people’s feelings.  Yes they can handle Crowley being in the other room, but I don’t know exactly how they expected Kevin to be cool with it.

OK enter Abaddon, with an awesome regeneration scene (I have to say her makeup and nails were rocking it for someone how had just been burnt to a crisp).  Do you know who scared me more than Abaddon though?  Scary-Demon-Grandma.  Seriously, “kids love grandmas”? Yeah I kinda wanted to vomit thinking about that creep going after little kids.  Abaddon is shaping up to be a pretty good big bad which has to be a hard thing to come up with now a days in Supernatural writers land.  I mean come on, they’ve killed a few badass demons, Lucifer, and the Leviathan to name a few.  They even in a sense beat the evil inside of themselves (kinda).  I’m interested to see how this pissing contest between her and Crowley ends up.  I’m assuming that he’s not going to be kept tied up much longer and then the real battle will start.  How cool would it be to see Crowley seeking their protection from Abaddon.  I think that’s what’s going to end up happening.  After all Crowley is a lesser evil.  Kinda doubting Kevin would be cool with that though.

KevinFreakinSolo

Speaking of Kevin.  Wow. KevinFREAKIN’Solo was on point.  I thought the boys were screwed when they called Kevin for a cover story, but he got the job done with flair.  Now overall Kevin needs to have that kind of confidence about everything.  I know this isn’t what he would like to be doing, but there is no way that he could waltz back into his Ivy League life even if he had the chance.  As soon as he can accept that and accept that what he is doing is way more important than anything else he would have ever have been able to do the sooner he can be happy.

Now Crowley and Kevin in the bunker together was always a bad idea and I think turned out as best as it could have.  Of course Crowley was going to needle Kevin about his mom, about how messed up his life is, well about everything.  Once again I don’t think that the boys remember that Kevin isn’t a hunter.  He has seen a lot, but he’s still a young adult.  Best line of the exchange: “I torture all my friends.”  I’m sure Crowley does and maybe Crowley does think that they are friends.  Seriously wouldn’t surprise me.

The whole Abaddon battle was cool, but I knew the guys had it under control.  I kinda figured that Sam/Zeke would save the day (or as I will call him Sangel).  Surely Sam will start doubting all of this though and how pissed is he going to be when he realizes all the lies Dean is telling him.  Also the wings made me believe that maybe Zeke is telling the truth about not being healthy himself.  Feathers were falling out and he was not as impressive as Cas was the first time he showed off his wings.  Best line of the night? Dean talking to Sangel: “Zeke? ImmacallyouZeke.”

Sangel

I actually was more on edge with what was happening with Kevin and Crowley, but I did really enjoy the exchange between Abaddon and Dean.  Mostly just because it reminded Dean (and us) that things could be worse.  And we got to look at Dean a lot.  Which is always awesome.

AbaddonandDean

Crowley may not have won the quick escape, but he did plant seeds of doubt in Kevin.  Is his mom really dead?  If she’s alive why not let Crowley go to get her back?  Maybe he did make a deal with Crowley off camera and he’s just biding his time until he can get Crowley out of there.  I think Dean actually handled the situation he came back to well.  He reminded Kevin that he was family, that they were willing to die to keep him safe, and he tried to help him come to terms with his mom. BUT, and this is a huge BUT, once again Dean doesn’t put himself in Kevin’s place.  What if Crowley said something like that about Sam, or what if old Yellow Eyes had said something like that about their dad or mom a few years ago.  Dean and Sam would have dropped everything just to make sure that Crowley wasn’t telling the truth.  Can they not accept that Kevin would do the same?  I think Dean glossing over this is going to come back to bite him later.  All the feels between Kevin and Dean were overwhelming though.  Poor Kevin.  Poor Dean.  Really poor everyone at this point.  Well, I guess Garth is the only character that is chugging along happily.

We’ll see next week how Cas is doing. I’m guessing not well.  This season has started off with a bang and it has be excited to see what is going to happen next.  I’m loving it since I felt season eight was confusing and not up to the standards I expect from this show.  I have hopes that Zeke is really trying to help and wonder if he’ll make another appearance soon. (Maybe to speak to Cas?)

Something is seriously wrong with Amelia.

Amelia and Riot

Amelia and Riot

The first half of this season of Supernatural felt wrong.  The idea that Sam abandoned Dean in Purgatory and never even tried to look for him.  Yeah that doesn’t fly with me.  I can understand that Dean befriended a vampire and that Sam’s not cool with that.  After all Dean did kill Amy Pond (one of their writers must be a serious Doctor Who fan) just because she might kill again someday so it’s understandable that Sam isn’t cool with Dean having a vampire friend.

I really don’t think that this season had a good episode until LARP and the Real Girl just because of all the drama going on with Sam.  Don’t get me wrong.  Dean was getting it done.  He was having flashbacks about how much Purgatory sucked, dealing with his heartbreak over leaving Castiel behind, dealing with the feelings of loyalty to his vampire friend Benny and mostly just being his normal awesome self.

Sam however seems bummed that Dean has shown back up.  Instead of seeing Sam relieved that his brother has escaped a torturous place he seems pretty bummed out that he can’t continue his life without hunting. Seriously?  Dean is not some annoying step child that Sam has to take care of that he’s suddenly gotten custody of.  Sam gave up college to hunt with Dean.  Sam has sacrificed himself time and time again to save the world (including some unfortunate demon’s blood/sex choices) so I don’t care what has happened: Sam wouldn’t bail on Dean or Kevin.

Speaking of Kevin Sam just left him to hang out with Crowley?  Really?  He never once checked his voicemails or wondered if there was something he could do to help this young kid that they have guided since his life turned upside down?  Once again I say no.

So here’s my theory: Sam had some kind of meltdown shortly after Dean got sucked into Purgatory and his whole life with Amelia and the dog didn’t really happen.

I know other people have thrown this out too, but after going back and rewatching some of the early episodes from season 8 this just seems to make more and more sense.

Support:

  • Sam wouldn’t abandon Dean.  Ever.
  • Sam wouldn’t leave Kevin with Crowley
  • Sam seems to feel really guilty when he hears Kevin’s voicemails asking for help
  • Sam has always wanted a dog and a normal love life and very conveniently got both of these
  • His flash backs have an eerie quality to them.  Like they are too perfect.
  • There are inconsistencies with the Amelia story line.  When Dean comes back we see Sam leaving Amelia and Riot while they are sleeping (with a mysterious figure seen watching him), but then we see him leaving her because her not dead husband showed back up.  So which is it?  Sam left because Dean was back or because Don was back?
  • Dean never meets Amelia.  Sam meets Benny, they talk about her, but no meetings between the two.
  • Sam is somewhat sad when he chooses to stay with Dean, but  is not as sad as when he lost Jess, or Ruby (and he even had betrayal and anger to help him get over Ruby

The harder stuff to explain away:

  • Sam has Amelia’s number in his phone (supposedly)
  • Dean comments on the dog smell in the Impala when Sam meets him
  • He has a rendezvous with Amelia when Dean sends him a fake text saying she’s in trouble that definitely seems pretty real
  • The scenes that are of Amelia alone.  Usually imaginary people aren’t seen alone

So why would Sam have an imaginary girlfriend?  Manti Te’o made it look cool? OK maybe not.

Option 1 is that he’s been through a lot.  He lost his mom and his dad, he’s died, lost Dean to hell for a while, gotten addicted to demon’s blood, been possessed by Lucifer, gone to hell himself, gone completely insane, lost Bobby, and then lost Dean again.  Just to name a few things.  So it’s understandable that he could lose his mind again.  So maybe he just went kinda crazy and then started to get back on track once Dean showed up again.  I don’t like this theory too much though because that’s not much better than what was spelled out to us.

Option 2 is that Naomi is screwing with him.  We know that Naomi is messing with Cas and all of his memories so I don’t think it’s that far off track that she would do the same with Sam.  Perhaps trying to figure out how to regain control of Heaven again or to find out all of the Winchester secrets so when she brought Castiel back from Purgatory she would know how to control him best.  Who knows maybe she just thought it’d be fun to stick her crazy eyeball saw into him.  I like this better.  The angels are known for their love of messing with people or other angels to achieve their goals and torturing Sam for a year and making up a cover story complete with memories would be no big deal.

Option 3 Crowley created a reality for Sam like he did for Kevin with demons around directing Sam.  Maybe he really did meet Amelia and then when Crowley realized that Sam had lowered his guard, that he wasn’t hunting anymore so he had Amelia possessed and kept her close to him to make sure Sam stayed out of his way.  The only way I see this working is if it’s combined with option 1.  Because I think he’d have to be crazy to not notice a ton of demons hanging around.  Who knows though, Kevin might have been fooled if he hadn’t known Sam and Dean so well to know when they were being faked.

No matter what the real deal is I hope that Sam’s year is explained better in season 9 and I most definitely hope that Amelia doesn’t come back.  Unless it’s to die a horrible death to never appear again.

Did I leave something out?  What do you think about Sam’s year off?
